MY STORY & PHILOSOPHY
I am educated as a teacher and textile fashion designer. I worked in the fashion industry for many years. The serious consequences of this industry on our health, the impact on our planet, and on garment workers’ lives made me less and less happy. I wanted change, to create with my hands and make products with some love in a smaller loop. I started my 3 year ceramics study in Gouda. Of course my love for textile never faded. I like to use textures in my clay and love to dye textiles with natural indigo.

MY STUDIO
In my studio I use different kind of pottery techniques to create my ceramics. Next to the pottery wheel, I also make my own moulds and develop my own glazes. I love to make small series or unique items. The small differences in each product and batch gives it a Great artisanal touch. Now I design and make everything in my ceramic studio. Creating products in small batches. Products and glazes inspired by the sea. Products for on and around the table. Nice products people can use in daily life.
CRAFT AS A PASSION
I have a big love for all kind of techniques in different materials and cultures. I like to understand and to practise these and translate them into my own work. At this moment I feel we need to cherish the old crafts and give them a new life. This way we can surround us with all kinds of products we love.

MY LIFE
I love the beach, the sea and the sun. The sound of the waves, the sun that reflects in the water. The vastness of the sea. I love to walk on the beach with my dog. Surfing some waves with my longboard. And enjoy life!
let's cherish our planet
